GDS installation instruction

Before installing GDS make sure if gutter is attached properly; any lose spots on the gutter must be repair. Make sure gutter is free of debris. All GDS ends have to be properly closed/covered so no openings are left on sides of gutter. If using fastening method only stainless steel fasteners should be used to attach GDS in place.
 

 
How is Gutter Defense System installed?

Gutter Defense System is easy to install by any competent person. Simple hand tools are all that is required. Or no tools at all.

The GDS can be installed in few different ways. Most preferable ways are:

A. Slide GDS under the shingles and into the lip of the gutter, hold with hook tool in place screw into the lip of the gutter. Caulk front near lip.

B. Install continue "F" channel at the fascia with stainless steel screws. Place GDS into "F" channel and slip under the lip of the gutter. Caulk the end of GDS at the gutter side.

C. Install continue "L" shape bracket into the fascia. Slip the GDS into the gutter. Install second "L" shape bracket on the top of the GDS and screw with stainless steel screws into the fascia.

D. Pre cut GDS into sections. Bend one end and slide the opposite side of the bend into the lip of the gutter. Screw the bent side into the fascia. Caulk at the lip.

E. Pre-bend GDS, place it against the fascia and in the lip of the gutter. (For this method tools may be required).

Installing with tool

1. Tuck GDS under the shingles.
2. Slide the hook tool under the shingle and hook onto the GDS.
3. Pull GDS into the lip of the gutter and hold it in place.
4. Screw GDS into the lip of the gutter.
5. Slide the tool over and continue process till GDS is fully installed.
